INTRODUCTION:
Ankara is a beautiful African print which is available in several colors and can be made into almost anything. People have been known to make Ankara bags, shoes, bracelets, shorts, and even necklaces! Below is a very simple and straightforward tutorial on how to make a simple Ankara bangle.
Materials:
-         -  Plain wooden or plastic bangle
-         -  Ankara material of your choice
-          - Sharp scissors
-          - Needle and thread (Optional)
-       -    UHU Glue
Directions:
-          Step 1: Cut a long, wide strip of material that should be long enough to wrap the bangle.
-          Step 2: With a needle and thread or sewing machine, close and sew the material to form a tube.
-          Step 3: Brush a moderate amount of glue around and under the bangle.
-          Step 4: Before your glue dries up, place the sewn material at a point on the bangle and keep rolling it tightly around and around the bangle until you are back at the same point you started from.
-          Step 5: Snip off the excess material and use a bit of glue to hold down the ends to prevent them from unraveling.
-          Step 6: Leave the glue to dry and your bangle is ready.
TIP:
-         -  As you well know, once you have treated anything with glue, water becomes your enemy so store your bangle in a clean, dry and dust-free environment to avoid stains and rapid tears.

-          - If you must clean your bangle, add some detergent to a bowl of water, dab a clean and unused toothbrush in it and use to gently scrub your bangle till it is fairly clean.
