All over the world, people try to find ways to prevent aging. You look at yourself in a picture you took five years ago and you just keep wonder where the looks went. Aging is a natural process that must take place and a reality everyone must accept.
The good news however is that you can slow down the process of aging and look many years younger than your current age even if u can’t prevent it.
Lifestyle modification alone can go a long way in helping you achieve this if you don’t want to go through the trouble to spending your time, energy and money on surgeries and makeovers.

  • Eat the right kind of food
Food helps preserve your body but not just any kind of food. Vegetables and fruits should be a constant part of your meal if you want to look younger. They contain elements and vitamins that serve as antioxidants (vitamins A, C and E which help slow down the aging process).

  • Drink lots of water
We need about two to three litres of water daily to maintain normal body functions. If your skin is not getting enough water, it begins to wrinkle and you start to age.
  • Avoid stress
Find time daily to rest no matter how busy you are. Have a regular sleeping and waking time. The more the stress your body experiences  the higher the level of cortisol ( stress hormone) released into your system. This can cause you to age fast.
  • Avoid too much exposure to sunlight
The ultraviolet rays of the sun causes a lot of damage to the skin. Avoid spending long hours under the sun. Wear protective clothing and sunglasses when it is very sunny.

  • Exercise
This helps to keep the body fit and in shape. Exercise keeps you healthy and thus prevents you from aging fast
  • Avoid alcohol and cigarette
Alcohol and cigarette have a lot of adverse effect on the body. Taking excess of these substances stress your body organs. This will not only cause you to age fast but will also predispose you to diseases.
  • Laugh often
Laughter, they say is the best medicine. Apart from making you look good outwardly, laughter relaxes you and makes you feel good. You strain more facial muscles when u frown and this will over time cause wrinkling and aging.
  • Work on your outward appearance
Your carriage is important in making you look young. If you go about with slumped shoulders and a bent back, you definitely will look much older than your age. Having a good poise will help you look younger.
Dress well, comb your hair neatly and wear clean and ironed clothes. Use body creams that are rich in vitamin E. You’ll be surprised at how much you’ll improve your looks just by caring for your outward appearance.
