The rescue of a fisherman who spent three days in an upside down boat 100 feet under the water. His 12 shipmates died when their boat capsized 20 miles off the coast of Nigeria, but Harrison Okene was able to survive for over 62 hours in a four-foot air pocket! The 29-year-old ship’s cook was able to make his way into a cabin and close the door. In total darkness, he survived with no food or water. His skin began peeling because of the salt water.A dive team went down to the ship on a recovery mission, never expecting to find anyone alive. Rescuers can be heard shouting “He’s alive, he’s alive” when Okene reached out to them.
