WHO IS PRINCESS GREIZ?
I am Grace Ogbeba, an Idoma lady from Benue State. I hold a BSc Economics and MBA Finance and work presently with the Nigerian navy in Lagos.
A BRIEF INTO YOUR BACKGROUND AND LIFESTYLE?
I have four brothers and a lovely sister, my parents are both professors and so I grew up been a bookworm. I love to read a lot and surf the internet because I hate to be idle. I can never get bored if am doing those two things but sometimes I just go to the movies at cinema or take a stroll at the beach just to have fun. I don’t like crowd, especially when it’s a noisy one, cheats and liars also turn me
WHY MEDIA?
I discovered my passion for the media when I was around 12 or 13years old. You know? In those days, press club and debate club used to be such a big deal, standing in front of thousands of other students to broadcast news or debate opened my eyes to see the beauty of the media. Infact I used to be an editor and writer for d school magazine. I was also the best student in Arts, Literature and English language during my graduation from secondary school.
WHAT BROUGHT ABOUT GRIEZ MAGAZINE?
Then in the university, I started writing for newspapers, magazines, news boards and pamphlets. I learnt a lot about publishing and the idea of Greiz magazine came up.
CHALLANGES FACED?
Challenges?(laughs) my first complete dummy was stolen and I was duped by a publisher at my second attempt before it went well.
DESPITE YOUR CHALLENGES WHAT KEEPS YOU GOING?
Despite the challenges, I have a goal; to transform the lives of youth through programs and print media. With God and my Team by my side, nothing will stop me.
WHO ARE YOUR MENTORS?
Mentors. I look up to God and I admire the works of Genevieve and Times magazine.
WHAT OTHER THINGS ARE YOU INTO?
I dance ballet, write, calligraphy, act and have done a few photo modeling.
HOW DID YOUR FAMILY ACCEPT YOUR GOING INTO MEDIA,DESPITE IT WASNT WHAT YOU STUDIED IN SCHOOL?
My parents frowned at the fact that I was abandoning my lectures just to be at events but I remember they were so excited when they heard me anchoring a program on a federal radio station. And when they saw newspapers with my articles, and finally Greiz magazine, they got excited and encouraged me.
HOW DO YOU FIND THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY?
Entertainment industry is a jungle, only the fittest survives.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH MEN.
Lolz, I am a lady, men must want to be around me. But I am a disciplined and cheery one.
