Philadelphia Store Clerk Loses Job After Fighting Off Robber?!

A Philadelphia store clerk lost his job after fighting off a would-be robber.

Brandon Burwell told Elisabeth Hasselbeck on this morning’s Fox and Friends that a man came into the store asking for money and threatening him by using a piece of metal as a weapon.

“Once he started to come at me with a weapon, I was pretty much left with no other choice but to get physical with this guy,” Burwell said.
He was later fired for not adhering to Wawa’s policy regarding robbery which tells clerks to immediately surrender the money if anyone is trying to rob the store
“It’s upsetting that everything worked out the way that it did. I thought I was going to be rewarded for it […] Instead, they let me go,” Burwell said
